Think of strategic design as solving a puzzle

It’s an approach for organizations, companies and individuals, to integrate user-centered design principles.

Its a future-oriented approach that combines innovation, problem-solving and interdisciplinary collaboration. These principles are not just abstract concepts; rather, they serve as practical tools in the design process, guiding entities to address complex challenges and opportunities in today's dynamic environment.

A design process today is much more than mere aesthetics; it's a comprehensive problem-solving mechanism, aligning business goals with creative solutions that resonate with end users.

It's a journey that transforms challenges into innovative outcomes, ensuring that every strategic decision is infused with creativity and user-centric insights.

What makes a brand stand out?

Workshop for K2G.

In the floods of digital media, people look for providers who can
- communicate quickly and clearly what relevant benefits they offer
- appear authentic and competent
- convince and motivate through good storytelling
- stand out positively with a strong design and new ideas.
To achieve this, we need a clear basis, a common understanding of the core of a brand, the market environment and the most important needs of your target groups.

Designing a future superstructure in a particularly attractive way.

Design Thinking Workshop for SBB Immobilien

The aim was to find new and innovative ideas that will be incorporated into a new tender: designing a future superstructure in a particularly attractive way.

Jointly we defined the problem statement, by formulating the „how-might-we“-question. We used innovative design thinking methods and applied a user's perspective and finally completely new and innovative ideas were tackled in the workshop with the SBB team.

Fostering Teamwork with a (co-)creative environment to shape mindsets

Adecco - Spring Professional

We introduced a group of professionals from different backgrounds to design thinking and its mindset, fostering teamwork in an environment based on creativity and co-creation.

In a short design sprint we experienced the basics of a creative mindset, including a prototyping session, the elaboration of “how-might-we-questions“, as well as an introduction to the principles of Lego Serious Play®.

We make things look beautiful - but not only!

Workshop with Klöber, Paris

In this Workshop we reflected on the understanding the customer and not "building" around their needs, thus saving a lot of energy and money. Like the product designer, or the chair designer, Design Thinkers are not afraid to iterate, make mistakes and eventually accept these "mistakes" as a new solution.

We agreed that design thinking is a helpful method for defining a problem and then finding user-oriented solutions to this challenge. It's about 'doing' or taking 'thinking' to a concrete level. Until now, designs just had to be cool. They were quick and uncomplicated. True to the motto "We make things look beautiful"! Little thought was given to the 'end user' and the 'experience'.

Can design thinking disrupt human resources?

HR of Justice department City of Zurich

The answer is YES! A question we discussed during this workshop with the Zurich Department of Justice. We need to rethink from "process developer" to "experience architect"...

Conclusion: we need to develop a human-centered mindset, go beyond programs and processes, strive for meaningful experiences and create new value by reorganizing work and finding surprising solutions or opportunities.

Cultivating Creativity: How to inspire a Creative Mindset at work?

SAWI - Academy for Marketing and Communication

Concept and design of the workshop to help understand the needs of seniors. The workshop was conducted in form of a game to help identify and visualize difficult situations that can arise in the "golden age" - and at the same time point out problems later on. It offers immediate solutions while encouraging the search for innovative solutions.

Seniors are encouraged to articulate their needs and look for viable solutions - usually based on new technologies. The search for "crazy" solutions at the end of the game helps to alleviate the "heaviness" of unpleasant, but possible future problems. Many innovative educators are looking for creative methods, such as design thinking manuals, that are easy to use in schools and classrooms.

How could we revolutionize the future of education?

Education 21 / Schulnetz 21

A recurring question that we are asked in workshops. At the impulse conference of Schulnetz21, or at an online session on tobacco prevention in schools, together with Education21 .

Many innovative educators are looking for creative methods, such as design thinking manuals, that are easy to use in schools and classrooms.

Unlocking Potential: Can Gamification Transform Learning?
